Cynthia Cho, LCMFT
As a clinician, my focus is to help clients understand the root cause of the issues that brought them into treatment. I have 9 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families, and couples struggling with depression, trauma, anxiety, ADHD, transitions, parenting strategies, and relational and familial situations. I use a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, sand therapy, person-centered, strength-based, trauma-informed, and Gottman-interventions. I focus on client's strengths and resiliency to help them achieve the goals they are looking for.
I graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Family Science and a minor in Education in Human Development in 2011. I graduated with a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Rochester in 2014.
I completed my internship in Rochester, NY from 2013 to 2014. I have been practicing therapy in Maryland since 2016.
I am bilingual in Korean and English.
